Editing an MP3's content

With Audion 2, you can now edit the content of an MP3, allowing you to cut, copy, and paste to create your own MP3s. To edit an MP3's content:
1 Choose New MP3 Editor from the File menu
2 Drag and drop the file you wish to edit into the editor
3 Select a portion of the MP3 you wish to edit by holding down the mouse and dragging
4 Click the Play button to listen to your selection
5 Choose Cut, Copy, or Clear to edit the audio
6 Select Save from the Filemenu to save your MP3

Based on Felt Tip Sound Studio technology, the MP3 Editor is a professional-level audio editor. By viewing the audio waveforms (a graphic representation of the audio data) you can edit the audio content. You can even create a New MP3 Editor window and paste content into the new window, to create your own MP3 mix.

The Play, Pause and Stop buttons at the top of the MP3 Editor window allow you to listen to the complete MP3 being edited or a highlighted selection of the MP3.

Tip: Got a live recording with a crowd noise intro? Cut it out!
